Liz Cardenas' real estate career started in 2019 in San Antonio where she worked primarily with first-time homebuyers. She and her husband, Javier, recently relocated to Nacogdoches. Liz is a graduate of San Diego State University with a major in psychology. She was born on the Southern California border and raised between California and Northern Baja in the small town of Tecate, home of the world-famous beer. Spanish is her first language, and she is fluent in English. Liz looks forward to working with the community and giving back. She has worked in school systems for various early childhood education programs and is a former Child Protection caseworker and interpreter in medical, educational, and criminal/legal cases. She is currently taking a course to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate of Deep East Texas (CASA-DET) for children going through foster and/or kinship care. She also joined Conexion Hispana with the Nacogdoches Independent School District. Liz and her husband spend their weekends going to estate sales and searching for antiques. They love living in Nacogdoches and plan to stay here for years to come. They enjoy the slow pace of living in a small town and do not miss the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities where they have lived.
